We like to keep things simple. One setup fee you pay only once. A monthly fee for hosting and updates. That’s it. Have as many items as you want and never pay a commission or a percentage on what you sell. Sell as much as you want…it’ll never cost you more.

The setup fee includes

a domain name (limited time special)
your choice of a template from our collection or a custom template based on your logo (or importing a template from a current site)
software installed on the server and, optionally, sample content and products to help you get started
email acccounts
online support
importing of selected elements of any current site

We’ll even provide an hour of phone training to help you get started. Did you notice custom template in there? Rather than having a site that looks like everyone else, you can have a site created that is unique to you.

The monthly fee includes software maintenance and updates, business class hosting and email with spam filtering. You’ll only need a domain name because we provide everything else. (Actually even one year of a domain name is free for a limited time. Already have a domain? We’ll add a year to it for you when you transfer.)

The setup fee is a one time $475.
The monthly rate is $40 charged automatically monthly to your credit card or PayPal account.

That’s it. No surprises.

We do have other optional services available if you need them including:

News Feature

Create news stories, summaries and news worthy updates for your site visitors to read. News articles will automatically archive and an RSS feed is automatically created for you. Recent news articles can automatically appear on selected site pages as you create them.
News articles can also be created in advance and set to appear on a selected date. Selected articles can also be set to display to members only.

Integrated Blog

Use the news feature to create an integrated blog. Have categories, upload images and all the other critical features that any popular blogging program contains. Why have a separate blog site that sends people away from your store? This is totally integrated into your site. You can show recent posts on any or all pages of your site, have people subscribe to your automatically created RSS feeds and have content automatically duplicated on social sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Blog articles can be date sensitive, automatically posting on the date/time you choose. Entries are automatically archived and selected blog entries can be set for members only.

Registration and Profiles Made Easy

Accept anonymous registrations or pre-register collecting as much information as you want. All the forms and database stuff is created for you. You can set an automatic message when users sign up offering them a coupon, a download or just a welcome message. Adding a confirmation link helps ensure that they provided a valid email address.

Secure Logins

Members are provided with a secure method of logging into your site to update their profile, newsletter registration and the optional member only content. They can change their password, obtain password reminders and password hints all without your intervention.

Email Subscriptions

You can have one or multiple newsletter groups. Members control which newsletters they are signed up for. Use newsletter groups for new product announcements, coupons and other specials, events you are attending, and news about your industry.

Members Only Area

Like all of these features, use only what you want. If you want to create pages that only members can view, just select the group when creating the page. Instantly only members of that group can see that content. This is great for a special promotion that only members can take advantage off or even paid content where members must pay before having access to content. Reporting tools tell you how often people are logging in to spot abuse. By letting people know about member benefits, you can increase your newsletter subscriptions.

Import and Export

Your data is yours! Like every other part of the system, you can export the data and use it as a backup, in other marketing efforts or for reporting and analysis. You can also import data and bring any existing lists into your newsletter/member groups. This will save having to manually enter any lists you have already created or currently manage.

How It All Works

You might expect a longer explanation, but this is all there is…. First just log into your site using your username and password. Immediately the content on your site has edit buttons. Simply go to the page you want to change and click the button. You now have a full editor where you can upload images and other files, set start and end dates for content and other changes. All items have instant help available in case you need it. Just hit save and your site is updated.

Share The Work Load

Multiple users can access the site. You control who can do what allowing total managing control over your site. Account priviledges can be limited to only processing orders, news/blog, menus, images, etc. Users can be limited to only being able to edit certain pages or other limits you dictate.

Who Can See What and When

You can even limit who can see certain content on your site. Maybe you want to offer a special to newsletter subscribers only, or perhaps you want to have paid content where people must purchase to view certain pages. Picturesque Shop offers a comprehensive online shopping solution with a list of features to suit your business needs. Even complex pricing situations can be handled with ease. Discounts, special offers and product add ons are easily defined. Shipping can be managed for both domestic and international destinations and tax rules established. Each phase of the checkout process can be customized in appearance to match your desired purchasing cycle.

Online Product Management

Anyone you grant permission to can add, update and remove products easily. You can upload images, change prices and check or adjust inventory. If you sell one of a kind or produce multiples of an item, you are in control.

You can establish member pricing to encourage people to sign up for a newsletter or buy into a buyers club. If you have a membership, you can restrict purchases of certain items to members only.

Using start and end dates, you can determine when items are available for sale. This could include seasonal or limited edition items.

Payment Methods

Payment can be handled by most payment gateways or you can take orders by email to arrange payment later. Payment Gateways are secure methods of accepting payments from customers. If you wish to take credit card payment online, you must first select one. We can help assist in selecting the proper service based on your needs.

Picturesque Shop is ready to handle PayPay and WorldPay payment gateways due to their popularity. Other payment methods can be configured for you when your site is created. For sites that sell customized products, you may choose to process orders by email so you can follow up with exact pricing and collect payment using other methods. If mixed methods are needed, please contact us with your request. Chances are, we’ll have a solution.

Order Processing and Tracking

As purchases are made on your site, email notifications are emailed to you and order confirmations emailed to the customer. Online reporting is available to you (using a password) where you can view all order details and edit orders. You can enter an estimated ship date, mark order statuses (e.g. awaiting payment) and when the item ships. Customers can log in and view their order details as well allowing them to see their order status as well as past orders. Use the feature you need. Not using one of these features will not impact your store’s ability to continue to take orders.

Comprehensive Pricing Rules

If your business has some items requiring complex pricing, rules can be created to help properly calculate the final cost for the customer. For example, you may have an item that can be engraved. You can charge extra for this service and allow them to enter what should be engraved. An item that comes in different sizes allows them to select the size. Larger sizes can cost more.

There are rules for…

Options selected such as size, color, etc.
The product group the item is in. Order 3 and get one 1/2 off from this group.
The group the customer belongs. Offer discounts to clubs or organizations,
Order total threshholds. Spend $100 and receive free shipping.
Quantity break points. Order a dozen and recieve a special price.
Invoice/delivery to a selected country/state
Delivery service choices such as regular, next day, etc.
And many others. Remember that rules can increase or decrease order totals based on your goal.

Stock Control

Each product can optionally have an inventory value entered. If you sell one of a kind items, you’d set this to 1. For items where you produce multiples, you can enter the quantity you have on hand to avoid overselling. Set no inventory level for those items not needing it or for custom orders where items are produced as ordered. Set the inventory to zero to temporarily halt sales without needing to delete the item.

Intelligent Search

Help the site visitor locate what they are looking for and immediately jump to it. Search features list most likely matches first.

Import and Export

Need to enter a lot of items? Import from your spreadsheet of product listings. Your data always remains yours and can be exported at any time. Export order information for tracking, external reporting or for use with accounting.

Customize the Look and Feel

Anything can be changed. We provide a format manager that let’s you make changes to the appearance of page elements. Just ask us which items you need changed and we can help point you in the correct direction or make the change for you. Advanced customization services are available for special requests.

Need to track special data for your products? We can even add custom data fields and allow the ones you designate to be displayed on the site. An example may be “Country of Origin”.
