Online Product Management


Product ListingAnyone you grant permission to can add, update and remove products easily. You can upload images, change prices and check or adjust inventory. If you sell one of a kind or produce multiples of an item, you are in control.

You can establish member pricing to encourage people to sign up for a newsletter or buy into a buyers club. If you have a membership, you can restrict purchases of certain items to members only.

Using start and end dates, you can determine when items are available for sale. This could include seasonal or limited edition items.


Payment Methods


Payment can be handled by most payment gateways or you can take orders by email to arrange payment later. Payment Gateways are secure methods of accepting payments from customers. If you wish to take credit card payment online, you must first select one. We can help assist in selecting the proper service based on your needs.

Picturesque Shop is ready to handle PayPay and WorldPay payment gateways due to their popularity. Other payment methods can be configured for you when your site is created. For sites that sell customized products, you may choose to process orders by email so you can follow up with exact pricing and collect payment using other methods. Order Processing and Tracking


Summary of OrdersAs purchases are made on your site, email notifications are emailed to you and order confirmations emailed to the customer. Online reporting is available to you (using a password) where you can view all order details and edit orders. Order DetailsYou can enter an estimated ship date, mark order statuses (e.g. awaiting payment) and when the item ships. Customers can log in and view their order details as well allowing them to see their order status as well as past orders. Use the feature you need. Not using one of these features will not impact your store’s ability to continue to take orders.

Comprehensive Pricing Rules


If your business has some items requiring complex pricing, rules can be created to help properly calculate the final cost for the customer. For example, you may have an item that can be engraved. You can charge extra for this service and allow them to enter what should be engraved. An item that comes in different sizes allows them to select the size. Larger sizes can cost more.

There are rules for…

  • Options selected such as size, color, etc.
  • The product group the item is in. Order 3 and get one 1/2 off from this group.
  • The group the customer belongs. Offer discounts to clubs or organizations,
  • Order total threshholds. Spend $100 and receive free shipping.
  • Quantity break points. Order a dozen and recieve a special price.
  • Invoice/delivery to a selected country/state
  • Delivery service choices such as regular, next day, etc.
  • And many others. Remember that rules can increase or decrease order totals based on your goal.


Stock Control


Each product can optionally have an inventory value entered. If you sell one of a kind items, you’d set this to 1. For items where you produce multiples, you can enter the quantity you have on hand to avoid overselling. Set no inventory level for those items not needing it or for custom orders where items are produced as ordered. Set the inventory to zero to temporarily halt sales without needing to delete the item.

Intelligent Search


Help the site visitor locate what they are looking for and immediately jump to it. Search features list most likely matches first.

Import and Export


Need to enter a lot of items? Import from your spreadsheet of product listings. Your data always remains yours and can be exported at any time. Export order information for tracking, external reporting or for use with accounting.

Customize the Look and Feel


Anything can be changed. We provide a format manager that let’s you make changes to the appearance of page elements.
